Through Xenon FIDEC’s ownership, Orion executed four add-ons to increase its presence in the fast-growing water segment, while reinforcing its position in the monitoring of emissions generated in industrial processes (vs final emissions). This strategy enabled the creation of an end-to-end, recurring service offering.

Sostelia is the leading Italian independent platform in water treatment, providing plant design & construction (EPC) and operations & maintenance (O&M) services across industrial and municipal end-markets. The Group is the result of a buy-and-build strategy executed by Xenon FIDEC, and is positioned to benefit from regulatory-driven demand and increasing need for advanced water treatment solutions.

Throughout the buy-and-build process, Xenon FIDEC focused on strengthening Sostelia’s positioning as a partner of choice in plant management and after-sales services, increasing recurring revenue to over 40%. The add-on acquisitions complemented the platform’s market positioning in after-sales maintenance, with more than 1.200 plants under management, and ultrapure water applications, thereby enabling Sostelia to cover the full spectrum of its customers’ technological and operational needs.
